Adult Acting Workshops

10/26-12/7 Cabaret is an art form in which a performer interprets song in an intimate setting with no fourth wall. In Cabaret Performance Workshop, performance coach Jennie Litt, will help singers 17 and older find their truth in each song of their choosing, crafting a performance that is unique to them. Additionally, class will focus on stagecraft and mic technique, explore song styles, and take deep dives into lyrics. The final two weeks of class will be devoted to creating a group cabaret show, complete with patter, which will be performed on Thursday, 12/7 at 8:00 PM at the BAL studio at 56 Windsor Place....

4/18-5/2: These morning sessions led by meditation teacher and sound therapist, Kadeem Alston-Roman, will combine deep meditative practices with the use of sound bowls to help clear away the fog and grime experienced by the mind and emotions so you can take on your day. It will also give you the opportunity to process past events and issues so they can be released and you can move forward towards a successful rest of the season and year!...

8/27-8/30, 2019. In a joint international partnership, Brooklyn Acting Lab will host Center of the Theatre of the Oppressed from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for a 4-Day intensive training workshop. Train with Geo Britto, the most experienced Joker from CTO in Rio de Janeiro and one of the first generation of students who trained with Augusto Boal when he returned to Brazil. The workshop will cover TO Exercises, the Theory, and Dramaturgy of Forum Theatre, including culminating in a Forum performance....
