Brooklyn Acting Lab’s Summer Programs serve children who are Rising Kindergarten (entering Kindergarten in Fall 2023) through Rising 8th (entering 8th Grade in Fall 2023). 4/20-5/18. Cabaret is an art form in which a performer interprets song in an intimate setting with no fourth wall. In Cabaret Performance Workshop, performance coach Jennie Litt, will help singers 17 and older find their truth in each song of their choosing, crafting a performance that is unique to them. Additionally, class will focus on stagecraft and mic technique, explore song styles, and take deep dives into lyrics. The final two weeks of class will be devoted to creating a group cabaret show, complete with patter, which will be performed on Friday, 5/19 at 7:30 PM at the BAL studio at 56 Windsor Place....

4/18-5/2: These morning sessions led by meditation teacher and sound therapist, Kadeem Alston-Roman, will combine deep meditative practices with the use of sound bowls to help clear away the fog and grime experienced by the mind and emotions so you can take on your day. It will also give you the opportunity to process past events and issues so they can be released and you can move forward towards a successful rest of the season and year!...

Put on your costume and join us in Brooklyn's Prospect Park as we shoot a community dance video! First we'll learn the moves from choreographer Keomi Tarver. Then we'll work with filmmaker Isabel del Rosal and music director Kat Lee and directors Kristen Lynch and Murat Ozcan to shoot the video!...

Our after-school programming is diverse and designed to engage and inspire. BAL’s beloved stage manager and prop master Erin Page leads this live virtual workshop from her home in LA! She and her family have been making gingerbread (graham cracker) houses together for years and this season Erin is excited to share her family tradition with the BAL family! She will provide a video tutorial (in advance) on how to make the house using graham crackers and an egg-based glue. The virtual workshop will consist of decorating the pre-made houses with your favorite candies and treats while catching up and having fun with Erin and friends!...
