Health & Safety Guidelines

Policies and Guidelines for Programs

The health and safety of the youth we serve and their families, the teaching artists we work with,  and BAL employees is our number one priority.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at admin@brooklynactinglab.org.

Here are the guidelines we are adhering to so we can do our maximum to keep everyone safe and healthy:

Drop-off and Pick-up

Kids will be dropped off and picked up at the BAL entrance. Parents/caregivers will not enter the BAL space .

We will only dismiss your child to a parent/guardian/or authorized pick-up that has been noted on your registration form.

Masks and Face Coverings

At BAL, masks are optional except….

If a child/teaching artist/staff member has tested positive for covid, they can come back to BAL  if they have no fever for 24 hours without taking fever-reducing medicine and other COVID-19 symptoms are getting better.

They should wear a well-fitting mask until they test negative or 10 days from the onset of symptoms.

Hygiene

To ensure a safe and hygienic learning environment BAL will do the following:

    • Kids will be instructed to wash their hands with soap and water after using the restroom.
    • Kids will come with their own water bottle and snack/lunch each day. Food will not be shared. BAL will not provide food to students.

Communication

We ask all parents/guardians  to immediately notify us if your child has tested positive for covid.

If a contractor/employee/child tests positive for covid, BAL will immediately notify families of the children who had close contact with the individual, while maintaining confidentiality required by state and federal law and regulations.
