Meredith is the heartbeat behind the scenes. She keeps the studios running, communicates with families, solves problems before you even know they exist, and makes sure every young actor is hydrated, supported, and having a blast.

The people behind the magic; dedicated teaching artists, directors, and administrators who create a space where young performers feel confident, supported, and inspired.
Brooklyn Acting Lab was founded in 2008 by Murat Ozcan and Kristen Lynch. What began as a small, passionate program has grown into a vibrant creative home where artistry and play coexist, guided by their vision and sustained by a dedicated team of collaborators.

Kristen co-founded Brooklyn Acting Lab with a vision of creating a joyful, inclusive space where young people could explore storytelling, music, and imagination. At BAL, she leads the organization with heart and intention—designing programs, directing productions, supporting teaching artists, and building strong relationships with families.

Murat Ozcan is the Artistic Director and Co-Founder of Brooklyn Acting Lab. With a career spanning Turkey, Paris, and New York, he brings decades of experience as a director, producer, educator, and actor.
