JoannaSchubert

Joanna Schubert (she/her) is a singer-songwriter, pianist/multi-instrumentalist, and music educator based in Flatbush. She writes, records, and performs her eclectic chamber pop-adjacent music under the name Oropendola. As a collaborator, she has sung and/or played with musicians including Half Waif, Samir Langus, Barrie, Beccs, Stephen Becker, and Nicomo. As a passionate music educator for almost a decade, she has taught all-ages private lessons in piano, songwriting, and voice, created and led contemporary vocal groups and youth songwriter collectives, and devised and music directed original (and classic) musicals with awesome kids and teens.
