We believe that theater is more than performance—it’s a way for young people to explore who they are and how they connect to the world around them.

For over 18 years, Brooklyn Acting Lab has been creating joyful, imaginative spaces for young people across our studios and partner schools—where students build confidence, find their voice, and grow together as artists and humans.

Our classes are:

• Process-driven — focused on exploration, creativity, and growth
• Ensemble-based — rooted in collaboration and community
• Skill-building — developing acting, voice, and movement techniques
• Joyful — because play is essential to learning

Guided by experienced teaching artists, every session encourages courage, collaboration, and self-expression both on stage and beyond.

Each class is thoughtfully structured to support both creativity and skill development. Depending on the focus of the session, students may 

explore:

• Guided improvisation and storytelling
• Character development and scene work
• Movement, dance, and choreography
• Vocal exploration and music
• Devising original work as an ensemble

Our goal is for every student to feel seen, supported, and inspired to take creative risks.
