Program Description

Produce a magical, theatrical experience with Brooklyn Acting Lab!

BAL’s Young PLAYers Series run weekly from July 6 – August 14, 2020. Now available at P.S. 321 in Park Slope!

Our one-week summer programs allow your child to work with a team of professional theater-educators to bring a theatrical production from text (“The Page’) to a full performance (‘The Stage’)! Actors will work as an ensemble, using a script as a starting point to develop characters, movement, staging, etc. Together we will produce a magical, theatrical experience. No prior experience is necessary to participate in this supportive and nurturing ensemble experience. We will also incorporate singing, movement and tools from our Actors Toolboxes. Each week culminates in a Friday afternoon sharing open to family and friends. Sign up for one week or for the entire summer!

BAL is an ensemble-based program. We believe that one of the most exciting aspects of theater-making is working together to create a performance piece which is inclusive and celebrates each and every ensemble-member. At our summer theater programs everyone has a part to PLAY whether you are a veteran to the stage or new to the scene.

Please send your child with a healthy lunch, two snacks, and a bottle of water. We are a nut-free environment so please pack food accordingly.

Early Drop-off is available at 8:30 am on Monday, and 8 am Tuesday thru Friday ($50/per week). Aftercare is available from 3–6 pm Monday thru Thursday, but NOT on Friday ($120 per week).
