Sign up your little one for an exciting week of dramatic play! Half-days and full-days available.

BAL is offering fun and enriching theater camps to rising Kindergarteners during the weeks of June 22-August 28th in Carroll Gardens. Each week is a different theme and its own unique theater adventure. Enroll your child for one week or the entire summer!

Please send your child with a healthy lunch, two snacks, and a bottle of water. We are a nut-free zone so please pack snacks and food accordingly! If your child is participating in our aftercare program, please kindly send your child with one or two extra healthy snacks for the end of their day!

Our “sharing” is scheduled on Fridays at 2:30PM at Albee Dance. Both half-day and full-day participants are encouraged to participate. We love when parents and/or caregivers are able to attend the performance, however we do understand that scheduling is sometimes difficult. As long as your child knows in advance, our staff will always be present for your children as their “audience,” and will provide a lot of support!

Early Drop-off is available starting at 8:00 am, Monday thru Friday ($50/per week). 

July 6 – 10 | It’s Not A Box! | $285 / $475
Inspired by the children’s book, “It’s Not a Box!” by Antoinette Portis, we’ll take ordinary cardboard boxes and create a plethora of adventures using our imaginations! We’ll use the tools in our actors’ toolboxes to create characters, settings and stories and share them with families and friends on Friday afternoon at 2:30pm.

July 13 – 17 | Enchanted Forest | $285 / $475
Who lives in the Enchanted Forest? What happens there? What does it sound and feel like? What are the secret stories we can uncover? Join us as we create our own Enchanted Forest of magical experiences and charmed creatures. We’ll invite our families and friends into our forest on Friday afternoon at 2:30pm — but be aware – it may be more than you expect!

July 20 – 24 | Alice in Wonderland | $285 / $475
Venture down the rabbit hole with us as we explore our own Wonderland in this week-long imaginative process drama. We’ll incorporate singing and movement as we create our own characters based on Lewis Carroll’s extraordinary work. We’ll share what we’ve discovered with families and friends on Friday afternoon at 2:30pm.

July 27 – 31 | Unicorns, Wizards, Dragons, and Fairies | $285 / $475
Spend a magical week exploring the worlds of unicorns, wizards, dragons and fairies! We’ll use art materials together with our voices, bodies, and imaginations to create magical, theatrical landscapes, sing songs of adventures and travel on a mystical journey. We’ll share what we’ve discovered with our families and BAL staff at the end of the week, Friday at 2:30pm.

August 3 – 7 | Welcome to the Neighborhood! | $285 / $475
In this warm-hearted exploration of the meaning of neighborhood and neighbors, we’ll sing, dance and embrace our shared positive experiences as Brooklynites. We’ll discover what we love about living here and share our findings with our families and friends on Friday afternoon at 2:30pm.

August 10 – 14 | Outer Space Adventures | $285 / $475
Venture into deep space with us as we explore far off worlds and meet aliens characters born from our imaginations! We’ll use theater games and exercises to activate our voices, bodies and brains to share our discoveries with families and friends on Friday afternoon at 2:30pm.

August 17 – 21 | Clowning Around! | $285 / $475
Ever really want to just be a clown? Now’s your chance! We’ll each develop a clown persona, learn what skills clowns use to make people laugh, use theater games and exercises to create a clown troupe, develop skits from our own ideas and write some silly clown jokes! Hey, it’s really ok to spend a week being silly! On Friday afternoon, our Clown Troupe will put on a clown-extravaganza for families and friends at 2:30pm. Come join the fun!

August 24-28 | Disney Sing & Dance! | $285 / $475
Be Our Guest as we explore some of the greatest hits of Disney musicals. The ensemble will choose songs to explore and re-create original scenes inspired by the music through theater games and guided improvisation. You can be a frog, a princess, a lion, or a sorcerer….When You Wish Upon a Star, It’s A Whole New World! We’ll share our Magical Kingdom with friends and families on Friday at 2:30pm.

August 31 – September 4 | Carnival! | $285 / $475
Summer is almost over and it’s time to celebrate! We’ll use the theme of Carnival! to create a music and dance-filled extravaganza and send the season off in high style! We’ll consider all the places in the world that celebrate Carnival! and use those influences to create our own! Families and friends are invited to celebrate with us on Friday afternoon.
