Program Description
Using personal narratives as a jumping-off point, this class will allow students to explore the power of their own experiences and amplify their own perspectives. We will explore how using our own stories can be theatrical and take place in new, exciting worlds as we explore how to incorporate magical realism and dynamic staging into our plays! In a supported environment, students will be able to give one another encouraging feedback. The class will culminate with students completing their own short two-five page scripts that will be performed by professional performers in a staged reading.
