Summer Theater Program

Program Description
This summer BAL will offer a three-week theater program in partnership with the Shelter Island Historical Society. The immersive and playful program allows children to deep dive into the rich, vibrant, and magical history of the Island. Past themes have included: Water Protectors, Stories of the Children of SI, and The Story of Neverland!
The programs culminates in a show on the final Friday where the community is invited to share and celebrate the stories that the children bring to life on stage!
Important Program Details
- Drop off is at 9AM and pick-up is at 12 PM at the Shelter Island Historical Society
- Please send your child with a large bottle of water and a snack. We will also provide one snack.
- Make sure your child wears supportive/comfortable shoes. No flip-flops please. Make sure your child dresses comfortably in clothes that they can move in freely.
- Sunscreen should be applied in the morning. Please send your child with a bottle of sunscreen so it can reapplied during the day as needed.
- The workshop culminates in a shared performance on the final Friday, August 15th at 2:00 PM. Families are invited to attend.
