Kadeem Alston-Roman hails from Brooklyn, New York and attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Music, Art and the Performing Arts (The Fame School) in New York City. He has choreographed over 65 dance pieces in a variety of dance genres that include: modern/contemporary, neo-classical ballet, street-jazz, Broadway jazz, tap, west African and liturgical dance. He has showcased his work at venues such as Madison Square Garden, The Prudential Center, American College Dance Festival, Harlem Summer Stage, Muhlenberg College, Lehigh University, SUNY Newpaltz, and the Harkness Dance Center where dance luminaries such as Martha Graham, Alvin Ailey, Robert Joffrey, and Lester Horton showcased their talent. It was here in which he was considered one of the “top seven emerging choreographers in New York City.” His choreography has also been featured Off-Broadway in Play The Music Softly and
Alive55+ and Kickin’ in which he received an AUDELCO Award nomination for Best Choreography. His work was also seen on television in CBS’ 60 Minutes. Although still choreographing, in October 2019, he transitioned from his full time work in the arts to that of holistic wellness. He is trained and certified in energy healing, aromatherapy, sound therapy, meditation and hypnotherapy. Through studying and practicing these forms since 2013, he has used his skills and abilities to help organizations and individuals increase their quality of life
