Joy Donze (she/her) is a Queer identified Actor/Director/Producer based in Park Slope BK! In September 2020 Joy booked the role of Blu In the feature film titled “The Institute.” 2019 She produced “Look back in Anger” Off- Broadway at The Gene Frankel Theatre. On stage Joy was recently seen performing the role of Haley in the World Premiere of “Lily” at NJ Repertory. 2019 she was Director/Creative Consultant for 3 original female solo shows: “Threshold” @ Gibney Dance Center, “The Box Owner” at Hudson Guild, and “Pieces; The Ashlee Simpson show, performed at the Duplex. She also directed “Handmaids Tale: The Musical Parody” at The Kennedy Center & NYC’s The Cutting Room. Joy is an award winning solo performer, taking her show “13 and not pregnant” to New York, Chicago and Edinburgh fringe where she received Best Comedy and 5 star reviews. When Joy is not Producing/Acting or Directing you can find her teaching after school programs focused in Drama and Leadership in NY public schools with the best students in the world.
