Jasmine Maldonado, (she/her) dancer, actor and writer, is elated to be joining the BAL family! She is originally from Houston, Texas, which is where she first fell in love with dance and musical theatre. Jasmine moved to New York in 2018 to attend The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Jasmine so proudly graduated in the fall of 2019 and is hopeful for her future here in the city. In Texas, Jasmine danced competitively, and throughout received multiple awards and accolades for her choreography and dance performance. Jasmine was also nominated for Broadway World’s Greater Houston, Tx Area Best Leading Actress Regional awards, for her performance as Kate Monster in the Musical Avenue Q. Since moving to New York Jasmine has had the opportunity to receive direction from and work alongside many wonderful artists like, Chryssie Whitehead-Disbrow, Diane Ciesla, Nathan Brewer, and Gene Castel. Jasmine hopes to be an inspiration to our young artists just like her very own mentors were to her.
