Clare Hammoor is a theatre practitioner who collaborates in with young folks and adults in public spaces, schools and prisons. He is the Director of Education at Brooklyn Acting Lab where he oversees teaching artists across NYC in the implementation of a child-driven drama curriculum. Clare is a drama specialist and director at Blue School. He has presented at numerous national education conferences including the American Alliance for Theatre Educators and the Progressive Educators Network and international conferences including the NYU Forum on Educational Theatre and the International Multimedia Performance Artistic Collaborative Technology conference. His writing appears in academic and artistic publications. Clare facilitates theatre and drama with incarcerated and formerly incarcerated folks in New York State as a college instructor with Hudson Link and as the Artistic Director of (re)emergent theatre, a theatre company in collaboration with those emerging prison.
