A Historic Pop Musical: Who Tells Their Story?

Program Description
In this session-long, mini musical program students will develop their own original pop musical based on the theme Shakespeare and Company. We will explore musicals like & Juliet and Six two Broadway musicals that explore the stories of They will write short scenes and with the director select age-appropriate pop songs to that connect to the storytelling. They will also create and learn choreography. Throughout the process they will develop their vocal, movement, and acting skills. Every student gets a part and will work with teaching artists to develop their characters through an ensemble-based rehearsal process.
On June 13th there will be an in-studio performance at BAL.
