Program Description
Do you have a lot to say and a vivid imagination? Do you love stories or journaling? Playwriting is a great space to share and express your creative voice. Using personal narratives as a jumping-off point, this class will allow students to explore the power of their own experiences and amplify their own perspectives. Students will be taught exciting playwriting techniques that will transform their stories into magical worlds, hilarious dialogue, and compelling plot lines. In a supported environment, students will be able to give one another encouraging feedback. The class will culminate in a staged reading performed by professional actors of their brand new original works!
