One of Coral Palmon’s favorite things about teaching kids theatre is that it allows her to stay in touch with the sense of play and joy that comes so naturally to those wonderful little humans. Seeing the confidence and creativity that develops from this collaborative art form inspires her every single day, and she has dedicated the last seven years of her life to cultivating those values in the mini humans that often prove to be just as much teachers as learners.
Coral graduated with a Theatre degree from the University of Southern California, where she founded an a cappella group as well as a weekly theatre program with neighboring public elementary schools. In 2015, Coral produced the 30th Annual Children’s Festival of the Arts at Paramount Studios, where she integrated a theatrical element to a festival that had prior been predominantly based in the fine arts. Since then, she has taught theatre with Acting Adventures, the Fox Studios Child Development Center, and Troy Camp. Coral is currently pursuing her MA in Educational Theatre at Adelphi University, with the goal of becoming a drama teacher and one day starting up her own after school theatre program.
Coral is passionate about traveling, finding moments to dance with reckless abandon, and the importance of letting the inner child lead in rediscovering the little joys in everyday life. She’s incredibly excited to have joined the family at Brooklyn Acting Lab, and looks forward to creating magic together!
