Program Description
Using influences from devised and narrative theatre, participants will be encouraged to share their experience and personal alignment with their diverse identities. Over the course of the three hour workshop, we will collaboratively build a piece of theatre that explores how our identities are both personal and collective.
Join us for this FREE, 3 hour experiential workshop as we use theater to explore our many intersecting identities. All are welcome!
In this workshop we will explore:
- How we define our own personal identities
- Which parts of our identity we feel connected to and why
- How we can come together to create a piece of theater exploring where different identities may meet
- How devised theater can be merged with therapeutic interventions
This workshop is part of a course called Drama Therapy and Social Change at CIIS and is supervised by Armand Volkas, MFT, RDT/BCT, MFC# 28789
