Sydney Cox (they/she) is a Maryland-born Teaching Artist of six years, who has made their way to teaching in the Big Apple! A lover of all things Improv, Shakespeare, and Golden Age, Sydney enjoys melding their playful spirit with the colorful energy students bring into the room. Through their time teaching, Sydney has worked with Pre-K through high school, directing workshops, Improv classes, summer camps, showcases, birthday parties, and full productions. Some of her favorite onstage roles include Princess Winnifred (Once Upon a Mattress), Molly Aster (Peter and the Starcatcher), and Helena (A Midsummer Night's Dream). Sydney graduated from Wagner College with a B.A. in Theatre Performance & Writing minor, earning the Faculty Theatre Award and the Dr. Donald W. Spiro Award for Outstanding Academic and Co-Curricular Achievement.
