She studied theater in London at the British Academy of Dramatic Arts. Before that she attended LaGuardia HS in Manhattan. Kristen has been performing and producing off-broadway theater for the past 15 years. From 2000-2004 Kristen produced and curated the NYC French Short Film Festival on the Lower East Side.
Kristen has been teaching theater to children since 2002. She started out as a teaching artist at New York’s TADA! Reader’s Theater Workshop, and Young Audiences NY. While living in Paris with her husband in 1998, Kristen created The English Theater Workshop using theater as a tool to teach English and then brought the program to New York City and continued working with students of all ages. Kristen continues to teach, direct, and build new programs at Brooklyn Acting Lab. The children she works with are constantly teaching her how to grow and develop the program.
